Poster prizes for MBI members

The 10th edition of the prestigious ATTO Conference on Attosecond Science and Technology brought together 450 participants this year in Lund, Sweden. Two MBI researchers received awards in the "Best Poster Distinction" category.

PhD student Evaldas Svirplys impressed the jury with his poster on “HHG-based All-Attosecond Transient Absorption Spectroscopy,” presenting real-time observations of valence electron motion in xenon and argon atoms. Postdoctoral researcher Lauren Drescher showcased groundbreaking work on “All-Attosecond Transient Reflection Spectroscopy,” which generated significant interest within the attosecond research community.

MBI made further substantial contributions to the conference program, including a tutorial talk by Marc Vrakking, an invited talk by Bernd Schütte, and several oral presentations. A standout moment was the Nobel Session, chaired by Misha Ivanov, where 2023 Nobel Physics laureates Anne L’Huillier and Pierre Agostini discussed their groundbreaking discoveries and career journeys.
