Dr. Claus Ropers (31) and Dr. Anke B. Schmidt (31) are two of this year's winners of the Carl Ramsauer Prize of the Berlin Physical Society. Claus Ropers was honored for his dissertation at the Humboldt University, Anke B. Schmidt earned his doctorate at the Free University; the work was carried out by the two researchers at the Max Born Institute for Nonlinear Optics and Short Pulse Spectroscopy (MBI). The prize was awarded on 19 November at the University of Potsdam.
