Ultrashort ionizing light pulses are perfect tools to understand how an external perturbation such as an ionization event can induce local and global modifications in complex molecules.

Attosecond technology and HHG sources have allowed pushing this paradigm to the ultimate limit where electrons and charges can be tracked at the Angstrom legnthscale. Inerent to the experimental challenge that represents an attosecond experiment, these technics have been applied to relatively simple molecular systems, depriving us of studying the relation between the dynamics occuring on the ultrafast timescales and  large scale molecules having a potential impact on the inner working of living organisms.

In this presentation we will discuss the progress made in our group to investigate increasingly complex molecules using advanced experimental tools.
